Claudia A. Howe, CPA
Claudia has been working in the global mobility tax arena since 1993. Prior to co-founding Global Mobility Tax, Claudia had an 11-year career at Ernst & Young. Claudia also worked at Resources Global Professionals as a Director of Client Service. Being a native German and having lived and worked in Spain, Claudia enjoys the international arena of global taxation and HR in global mobility.
Claudia received her Bachelors of Science degree in Economics at San Jose State University and holds a Masters degree in Economics from Boston College. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Brent Bergan, CPA
Brent co-founded Global Mobility Tax in 2003. Prior to this, Brent spent 7 years at Oracle Corporation as Director of Tax - International Assignments and was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young in the Global Employee Solutions Group in Palo Alto, California. Brent started his career at Arthur Andersen in 1985.
Brent received a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting at Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Brent is past Board Member and Vice-President of Bay Area Mobility Management (BAMM).
Kimberly Engstrom, CPA
Kimberly is a Senior Manager at Global Mobility Tax and specializes in the coordination of global expatriate engagements; she provides individual tax planning ideas and compensation best practices in accordance with her clients strategic planning goals. Prior to joining Global Mobility Tax in 2006, Kimberly served multi-national clients at Ernst & Young since 1996.
Kimberly received a Bachelors of Political Science degree in from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Paul Rubino, CPA
Paul is a Director at Global Mobility Tax. Paul has over 20 years of tax experience, including Global Mobility senior management positions during his 7 years at Ernst & Young and 3 years at KPMG. Paul also has 3 years of industry experience in Sempra Energy’s Global Tax Department. Paul has serviced the Global Mobility industry from many locales throughout his career including Palo Alto/San Diego, Houston/Dallas, New York/New Jersey, and now resides in Central Florida. Paul also possesses the unique experience of having been an expatriate himself while studying & working abroad in Mexico, Russia, and the UK.
Paul received a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Florida and New Jersey. Paul is also an active member of the Florida Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Lis Morris, EA
ManagerLis earned her Bachelors of Science degree with Honors in Mathematics and Computing at Exeter University, UK. Lis has since received a Certificate in Accounting from Foothill College, California and is an Enrolled Agent, enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
EJ Han, EA
EJ has been working in expatriate tax since 2001. Prior to joining Global Mobility Tax, EJ had a 13-year career at Ernst & Young. EJ enjoys her work in the expatriate world especially regarding global tax implications of employers and employees.
EJ received her Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science degree in Taxation at Brigham Young University. EJ is an Enrolled Agent.
Kyle Miller, EA
Kyle has continuously worked for large high profile multi-national corporate clients during his international tax career. He spent 4 years with a Big 4 firm before joining Global Mobility Tax in 2014. Working in Germany and studying in France prior to that is what led him to a career supporting international client companies and their valued globally mobile employees.
Kyle is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He received his BA from Stanford University with honors and obtained his MBA from European University, also with honors.
Erika Beddow, EA
Erika is a Manager at Global Mobility Tax. Erika has over 18 years’ experience in public accounting with the last 9 years specializing in the Global Mobility industry. Erika joined Global Mobility Tax in 2016 after working with PricewaterhouseCoopers in both the Los Angeles and Washington D.C locales and now resides in Virginia. Erika brings a unique array of experiences as she grew up living all over the US and abroad. Erika has worked on an array of multi-national clients throughout her career and enjoys navigating complex situations while prudently mitigating risks, identifying value creation opportunities, and building strategic partnerships.
Erika is a member of the Worldwide ERC and Greater Washington Employee Relocation Council.
